 Easily Move Your Account Files

Important Terms to Know:

  • Transaction Date: This is the date when the transaction actually happened, and we'll note it as the last day of that week.
  • Posting Date: This is the day we officially record the transaction in our system.

Special Feature: Backdating

SmartCentral gives you the flexibility to backdate transactions. This is helpful in situations where a transaction takes place on one day but is recorded on another. You even have the option to set a specific date for the backdating.

Note: SmartCentral allows up to 4 weeks of backdating.

Be Careful with the "Locked Down Period"

This is a time frame that limits how far back you can date a transaction. If the reporting date isn't set correctly with this period in mind, your report might show changes you weren't expecting.

Pro Tip: For the most accurate reports, it's best not to run any reports within the locked down period.
