Once your gateway has been added to Smart Central (completed by Smart Central) you can send a link to your parents to request their registration.
The DD registration email sent to your parents can be edited in Account > Set up Org > Direct Debit
Send the DD registration Email in bulk from People > Parents > Set up Direct Debit.
Once sent you will see the date in the Notification column.
As parents register online the notification date will be removed and the N will change to Y in the DD column
The link to register can also be sent individually from the Parents Profile page
Parent profile page will also show what stage the registration is in i.e. Notified with date, link clicked with date, completed with registration number

When clicking the link parents are directed to a secure page to check their details and update any missing or incorrect information then select Finalise to continue.
Select Credit/Debit Card or Bank account and enter account information
Click Authorise once information has been entered
Then Accept to complete
Fees and charges will show on this page if applicable
If at any time parents wish to update their information or change account types you can send them a new link from the Parents profile ‘Request DD Update’
Extra Information to note:
- Direct Debit registration can be included in your online applications and set as optional or mandatory.
- These payment types are helpful for parents paying off any outstanding debts :
-Default DD type is Variable and deducts the amount outstanding when processing payments
-Capped type with a set amount will only deduct the amount ‘up to’ what’s entered
-Fixed type with a set amount will always deduct the amount entered regardless of balance.
- The option to add fortnightly and weekly frequencies is available and completed by the service in the parents profile
- You can also display the ‘Pay Now’ button on parents' statements for those who don’t wish to register for Direct Debit.
- Using the Pay Now option on the parents' profile page, you can also use this feature to take payments over the phone.
- All options allow payments to auto-reconcile on parent accounts.
