Additional 'Program' options within the new 'Fundings' tab

On 1 January 2023, the new Queensland Kindergarten Funding replaced the Queensland Kindergarten Funding Scheme (QKFS).

The new Kindergarten Funding includes provisions for 2 types of affordability subsidies, designed to offset a family’s kindergarten fees:

•       Kindy Plus, and

•       Kindy Family Tax Benefit (FTB).

These subsidy types have been added as 'Program' options within the new 

'Funding Schedule' set-up screen within Smart Central to enable applicable services to capture the weekly amount to be automatically deducted from a child's fees.


Adding a new Funding Schedule

 

To create a new Funding Schedule for an eligible child, follow the instructions below:


  1. Login to Smart Central
  1. Then, on the top menu bar, click Enrolments 

  1. Select a centre and search for the desired Parent/ Child

 

 

  1. Search result appears. Then click on the ID number of the desired child/ parent

  1. Then switch to the Fundings tab 

 

 

  1. On the Fundings tab, click Add

  1. Add new schedule tab appears. Enter details on the following:
  • Program
    • NSW Start Strong
    • VIC Free Kinder
    • QLD Kindy Plus
    • QLD Kindy FTB
    • QLD Base Subsidy
  • Start - start day of the schedule. 
  • End - End day of the schedule. Pick any desired day
  • Annual amount
  • Weekly amount
  • Week Day recommended to start on a Monday. 

  1. Then click Save to save all entries

 

 

The added Funding schedule now appears on the Funding Schedules tab,
